TERT Promoter Mutation Test Kit
Ultra-Sensitivity Enhancing TERT Research Outcomes
Ultra-Sensitivity Enhancing TERT Research Outcomes
TERT, or telomerase reverse transcriptase, plays an important role in cellular processes related to aging and cancer development. Mutations in the TERT gene have been identified as important contributors to a variety of cancers, including skin cancer, glioblastoma, and various solid tumors.
The most common TERT mutations are in the promoter region, specifically C228T and C250T. These mutations result in increased TERT expression and telomerase activity, and aberrant activation of telomerase is associated with uncontrolled cell division and evasion of programmed cell death, ultimately enabling cancer progression.
The ADPS™ TERT Promoter Mutation Test Kit accurately detects two mutations in the TERT promoter, C228T and C250T, with a detection sensitivity of 0.05% and 0.07%, respectively. It is designed for testing both tissue and plasma samples with a single kit.
This product is for research use only (RUO) and not intended for use in diagnostic procedures.
