Recombinant Taq DNA polymerase
Recombinant Taq DNA polymerase
geca™ N-Taq Polymerase is a thermostable DNA polymerase derived from Thermus aquaticus, expressed and purified in Escherichia coli as a recombinant protein. It is one of the most commonly used thermostable DNA polymerase in PCR DNA amplification reactions.
It possesses 5’→3’ exonuclease activity, making it suitable for Real-Time PCR using hydrolysis probes such as TaqMan probes. Taq polymerase exhibits non-template-dependent activity, which preferentially adds a single adenosine to the 3'-ends of a double-stranded DNA molecule. This activity renders it suitable for specific applications such as TA cloning.
