geca™ Reverse Transcriptase is an engineered form of MMLV Reverse Transcriptase, featuring reduced RNase H activity and increased thermal stability. Its stable activity at high temperatures minimizes the inhibition of the polymerization reaction by RNA secondary structures. These characteristics allow geca™ Reverse Transcriptase to yield higher cDNA levels compared to wild-type enzymes, and to synthesize relatively long cDNA from RNA, resulting in more complete full-length cDNA products. This highly purified recombinant protein, expressed in E. coli, can be utilized across various molecular biology experiments and molecular diagnostic applications.
